DESCRIPTION
17th c(Early Edo period)This is a rare Katakuchi-type Mizusashi (water jug) from the early 17th century.
Looking at the bottom, we can see that it is made of light, pale ochre clay, characteristic of Mino ware of the time.
The lacquer lid was applied by a later tea master.
